Peer Counselors are enthusiastic students dedicated to helping Westview students through tutoring, outreach, mentoring and awareness programs. Tutors provide individual and small group tutoring in various subjects, mentors provide support to help students achieve success in personal and academic endeavors, outreach organizes community and local events, and awareness hosts campus events about important topics like mental health awareness and Red Ribbon Week. We provide a strong connection between students on our campus and encourage students to make responsible decisions by being positive leaders and communicators. Peer Counselors are also involved in various service projects connecting Westview with our local community. To become a peer counselor, you must complete an application and an interview, and applications open in the fall. Contact us at wvpeercounseling@gmail.com with any questions, and check out our website www.tinyurl.com/wvpeercounseling for more details.
