Food Drive for Local PUSD Families
Updated: Aug 6, 2020
National Honor Society (NHS) and Westview Political Awareness Club (WVPAC) are excited to be coordinating with Friends and Family Community Connections (FFCC) to host a food drive during the textbook return and registration packet drop off days on June 15, 16, and 17th. You'll be able to put food donations in a box along the already scheduled return/registration drive through route. So easy!
One of the key pillars of NHS is service to the community and Westview PAC strongly believes that community service is a huge part of civic responsibility. FFCC is a non-profit organization that works to provide food and resources to local families in the PUSD area. FFCC now serves over 1,900 households (almost triple the number of families as a result of COVID-19) and the need will only continue to grow as we move into summer.
Please help support our neighbors by bringing any non-perishable food donations with you on your textbook drop off day. We will also be collecting cash donations in case this is easier for you. Below is a list of specific items FFCC needs in particular, but any and all donations of non-perishable food items are greatly appreciated!
16 oz. Peanut butter
Jelly
Boxed Macaroni and Cheese
Canned tuna
Mayonnaise
Healthy snacks
Canned corn
If you have any questions about this food drive or would like to volunteer, please email Linda Mauch (slmauch@yahoo.com) or Nicole Sanseverino (nsansev@gmail.com) and visit http://www.ffccsd.org/ for more information about FFCC. Stay safe, stay compassionate, and stay classy, Westview!
